About Tom Jade // Rock Jock
I keep trying to be funny and I know I shouldn’t because I suck at it.
I have a serious side though, and here’s my favorite quotation:
“You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.” It’s from the poem Desiderata.
I was born and raised in Eastern South Dakota and I’ve never lived anywhere else. I haven’t grown up yet, and you can’t make me. So…Na, Na, Na, Na. I started working in Radio around Christmas of 1980. After bouncing in and out of broadcasting a few times I asked Crash to give me some hours on KBAD, and this couldn’t have worked out better. The “Weekend Warrior” gig at KBAD is by far the coolest Rock-n-Roll hobby job anyone has ever had in the entire world history of working for a living.
I love biking, fishing, live music and partying with all of you dudes! Keep riding, keep rockin’ and I’ll see you down the road somewhere.
